The symptoms of P.A.D. (Peripheral Artery Disease) include pain,
cramps, and a tired feeling or heaviness in your legs, thighs, or buttocks when you exercise — even while walking just a short distance. These symptoms most likely
ease after rest, and they are the easiest symptoms to recognize. But don't dismiss
any of these symptoms as “just a natural part of aging." They could be warning
signs. And it could mean you have P.A.D.

One important thing to keep in mind is that nearly half of all people with P.A.D. don't
notice any symptoms. In fact, by the time they actually feel pain in their legs, their
arteries may already be more than 60% blocked.

The only way to know for sure if you have P.A.D. is to talk to your doctor and
get tested.
