Smoking is one of the highest risk factors for Peripheral Artery Disease, or P.A.D., as it is for heart attack and stroke. In fact, smokers actually develop symptoms of P.A.D. 10 years sooner than people who don't smoke.

This makes it more important than ever that you quit as soon as possible. But don't go it alone, work with your doctor, and seek out counseling if you need extra support.
